Built on the plot of a village bakery in rural France the new split level home is a rigorous exploration of environmentally friendly construction. Douglas Fir, structural frame surrounded by hempcrete and enclosed in reclaimed granite exterior wall. We retained a simple approach to materiality trying to reduce the material inputs into the building.
